Pros:
The Pentax K-3 is currently one of the best APS-C size camera you can buy at the moment. With its superior image quality and sharpness, it capable of producing fine pictures with the help of some good lenses. Its weather sealing and tough magnesium alloy body will ensure you that it will still be in one piece after days of hard photography sessions. The world first sensor based AA filter simulator allows you to decide when you only need it. The built in sensor based shake reduction allows for IS, VC to work on any vintage legacy lenses that are available. The SAFOX11 is currently the best auto focus system that Pentax has to offer.

Cons:
Unfortunately, video is not its strongest point compare to its other rival like Sony and Panasonic. But its a much improve video capability from the K-5 and K-5IIs. The K-3 now has a mic and headphone jack and has manual video control. It does not have full time continues video auto focus, But you still can use the AF button to engage auto focus but is almost useless in most situations. For serious videographer, we suggest you look elsewhere. There is also been quite a number of reports that the K-3 has a weird "Mirror Flapping Issue" whereby the camera shutter flap continuously making like a machine gun sound and the only way to stop it is to remove the battery. Fortunately, Pentax has acknowledge it and already has a fix for it. Should you encounter this problem, you can send it back to Pentax and they will fix it.

Why buy this?
If you are a photographer who desire a tough and weather sealed body, the K-3 is worth the consideration. Its easy to operates and all the buttons are where it should be. Image quality is the main weapon for the K-3. So if you are looking for good image quality, the K-3 would not disappoint you.
