Cromok Reunion : Thrashing Kuala Lumpur




Metalheads rejoice! Mark your calendars, strike out the date and join history in the making. Since the last performance by the original line-up, CROMOK is back and badder than ever!  
On this coming 8th April 2012, 4pm at KL Live, Jalan Sultan Ismail the Malaysian metal gods will be back to rule us all with their thundering guitar riffs and trademark Cromok wall of sound!
Clockwork Events and Uncang Tiga are proud to present to the Malaysian metal community the most anticipated reunion in the local industry. With their last show back in 1996, this is a reunion 15 years in the making.
With the original line up of Karl, Miji and Sam back to rock us with their metal madness, make sure you don’t miss the most anticipated show of the year!
Also proudly brought to you as the opening bands are metal mongers Langsuyr, local stalwarts Metalasia and the up and coming Nuclear Strikes. Come early to experience the headbanging tunes brought to you only by Clockwork Events and Uncang Tiga.

Cromok History
Cromok is a thrash metal band from Malaysia, formed in Australia around 1987 by 4 students who studied at University Of Wollongong.
They are widely known to be a legend of metal music in Malaysia. Cromok is regarded as a highly respected band in Malaysia despite being semi-underground (they have a major record label deal with EMI (Malaysia) which is not considered underground for most underground purist).
With their straight up thrash metal sounds, Cromok were the Metal gods of Malaysia, worshipped and revered by all underground music lovers. Their song structures is characterised by very simple riffs and minimalist drumming overlaid with very complex and epic guitars solos.
Amongst their achievements as a band are;
1990 – Voted the Best Band in Sydney by HOT METAL MAGAZINE
1991 – Gold Award for Image of Purity album
1993 – Platinum Award for Forever In Time album
1994 – Double Platinum Award for Forever In Time album
2008 – MACP Award for the Most Played English Song in Malaysia
Cromok the band has undergone changes in many shapes and forms throughout the years, but as we all know, original is always the best. The original line-up consists of Karl on guitars, Miji on drums and Sam on vocals and bass.
